SERGEANT BLUFF, Iowa (KTIV) - Sports can teach athletes so many valuable life lessons, goal setting, hard work, courage, discipline, grit, perseverance, resilience, and the list goes on.

One Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, boy is the epitome of what it means to be an athlete.

We first met Bowen Rodman on Nov. 8 of 2024, while he was being honored at a Sergeant Bluff-Luton football game, on his first day out of the hospital.

Ten months later, KTIV checked back in with Bowen to learn more about how he credits his athletic mindset to getting him back on the field and wrestling mat.
