Spirit routes are covered, airport says, as budget airline pulls out of Bradley

WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. — Spirit Airlines is pulling out of Bradley International Airport after its second Chapter 11 bankruptcy this year, but the airport will still offer service to the five destinations that the budget company served.

“So there will be no loss of nonstop destinations for passengers,” an airport spokesperson said Monday after Spirit’s announcement that it will no longer serve the Springfield-Hartford airport after October.
