BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - A Berkeley High School teacher is facing charges for allegedly tattooing a minor at his home.
Michael Pierce, 47, was arrested on charges of tattooing a person under 18 years of age, according to an incident report.
The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office says the victim’s father told police his daughter ran away from home in June. He noticed she had tattoos when she went to his home.
He says his daughter told him she got four tattoos from Pierce at his home using a tattoo gun ordered online.
The Berkeley County School District has not yet responded for comment.
