RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Several vape shops across central Virginia were recently raided as part of a large investigation.
Henrico Police confirmed raids in the county this past Friday. Officials wouldn’t say how many or who were targeted due to the “sensitive” nature of the case.
County leaders in Henrico have already been trying to crack down on the number of vape shops in the area, but the recent police raids only motivated them to strengthen their efforts.
The County is working with authorities to make sure vape shops are operating legally. The Henrico Director of Community Revitalization, Eric Leabough, expressed that one of their biggest concerns is stores selling items to underage children.
“We’re starting to see that they’re marketing to kids, potentially marketing to kids where
