KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — After the latest deadly wreck on Western Avenue, neighbors are expressing concerns about the road's safety.

The Knoxville Police Department said a driver crossed the center turn lane into oncoming traffic and crashed head-on into another vehicle last week. The driver who crossed into traffic died later at the hospital.

Trish Huerta lives near Western Avenue. She said it's the main road she takes to get to where she needs to go. Huerta said she and her husband see wrecks almost every time they go out.

She said the traffic is so bad, one of the businesses she visits informs people how to get there safely. She said the owner says to turn right and not left because if you turn left, someone could hit you. Huerta said seeing another crash on this road doesn't surprise her
