The Placer County Sheriff’s Office is opening a new station in West Placer to improve response times and expand public safety services as the region grows. The station, which will house both sheriff’s operations and county services, will provide walk-in access for records requests, civil filings, and concealed carry licenses. Officials say the facility will help meet the needs of residents moving into the 10,000 new housing units planned for West Placer. Limited patrols are already active, with full operations expected by mid-next year.
