While Dallas Cowboys fans might catch the legendary cheerleaders for a few hours on the field during a game, their day starts well before then.

Earlier this season, TODAY followed two Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders as they prepared for a Sunday night match.

The squad's 11-hour game day starts with two hours of "full glam," DCC Kelly Villares and Charly Barby told TODAY. Both Villares and Barby were featured on the popular Netflix docuseries "America's Sweethearts," which tracks the squad from auditions through the season's end.

They shared a few of their makeup tricks. Barby said she's learned to “use cream products before powder," and Villares said she "always" uses a fan to set.
