LOS ANGELES -- Following a recent shift to the bullpen , Roki Sasaki is expected to make the Dodgers' roster for the best-of-three NL Wild Card Series, manager Dave Roberts said Monday.

Sasaki, who was a highly coveted international amateur free-agent signing out of Japan this past offseason, will continue to work in relief for the Dodgers. He impressed in two appearances out of the 'pen last week after returning from a four-month IL stint with a right shoulder impingement .

Sasaki had mixed results as a starter in his rookie season in the big leagues. He posted a 4.72 ERA in eight starts before injuring his shoulder, and he did not look particularly sharp early on in his rehab assignment .
