PEND OREILLE COUNTY, Wash. – Pend Oreille County has been included in a USDA designation that extends emergency credit to producers affected by natural disasters.

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) announced this decision, which allows producers to apply for emergency loans.

These loans can assist with recovery needs such as replacing essential items, reorganizing farming operations, or refinancing certain debts.

The designation also covers several counties in Idaho, including those impacted by severe drought conditions.

Farmers in Pend Oreille County, along with those in other eligible counties, have until May 8, 2026, to apply for these loans.
