YUMA, AZ (AZFamily) — A federal judge in Tucson has temporarily stopped the Trump administration from deporting dozens of unaccompanied children from Guatemala and Honduras.

The ruling from U.S. District Judge Rosemary Márquez blocks the removal of 69 children who entered the country alone.

It comes after a late-night order over Labor Day weekend that halted flights when some of the children had already been removed from shelters and placed on planes to Guatemala.

The Florence Immigrant and Refugee Rights Project , an Arizona nonprofit that represents more than 600 children, said that the children they represent had been placed on planes.
