TARRANT COUNTY, Texas — Anthony Corley has been making music since he was 5 years old.

“I’m a guitarist,” said Corley, now 30. “That’s one of my few passions in life.”

But after an arrest earlier this month, he believes he’ll face challenges playing again.

Arlington police arrested Corley on September 5, he says, after officers noticed he was stumbling while walking down the street. He attributes the stumbling to tiredness after walking dozens of miles across Tarrant County. Officers suspected more, according to Corley, and conducted a search.

“They found paraphernalia on me, but weed paraphernalia. They locked me up for that,” Corley said.
