COLUMBUS, Ohio — A man was sentenced to life in prison for a fatal west Columbus shooting that left a 33-year-old man dead in 2023.

Ron Robinson was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 38-43 years, according to the judge's bailiff.

Robinson was found guilty of murder, aggravated murder, aggravated robbery, attempted murder, felonious assault and having a weapon under disability earlier this month.

On Jan. 6, 2023, Columbus Division of Police officers were sent to the 3600 block of West Horizons Drive to investigate an unknown complaint. Before they arrived, they were informed that a shooting had just taken place there.
