After falling six games short of a playoff spot, with an 81-81 record, the Texas Rangers and manager Bruce Bochy have “mutually agreed to end” Bochy’s time as manager. Bochy was offered a front-office advisor role to remain with the team, but it’s unclear whether he will accept.
Bruce Bochy has been the Rangers’ skipper for two years now. Previously, he had managed the Giants and the San Diego Padres.
