ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — The Escambia County Department of Animal Welfare is partnering with the BISSELL Pet Foundation for a special event.
According to an Escambia County release, the partnership is set to hold an adoption event, "Empty the Shelters," from Wednesday, Oct. 1, to Wednesday, Oct. 15.
The event offers free adoptions for "dogs and cats one year or older," with a $15 licensing fee. Kittens can be adopted for $25, while puppies can be adopted for $50.
To find your new furry friend, visit the Escambia County Animal Welfare and Adoption Center, located at 200 W. Fairfield Drive. From Monday to Friday, hours are from noon to 5 p.m., while hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
