CRANFORD, N.J. (PIX11) - An investigation is underway in Cranford, New Jersey, into whether two teenage girls were intentionally struck by a car while riding their bicycles Monday evening.

PIX11 sources say one of the teens has died and the other is on life support. A Cranford Fire Department official said one of the teens was picked up by medivac.

Sources are looking into whether the male driver of the car targeted one of the teens.

Witnesses tell PIX11 News that after the teens were hit on Burnside Avenue, the driver kept going in the SUV for another few blocks. The SUV came to rest on Lincoln Avenue West off Burnside Avenue with one of the bicycles embedded in the hood.
