NEWTOWN SQUARE – The identity of the Radnor volleyball team might still be a work in progress, but there’s no denying the talent on the floor.

“This team,” coach Tori Cruciani said, “has immense talent.”

For the first two sets of a big midseason clash with Marple Newtown Monday afternoon, the Raptors looked like they’d just rolled out of bed. Serving errors, miscommunications and general sloppy play resulted in Radnor dropping the first two sets. The second set was especially troubling as the Raptors trailed 15-1 before finally waking up and rallying late to make it competitive.

Marple Newtown, winners of five straight, looked ready to cruise to a sweep. And Radnor? Well…
