Nils Höglander has started the road to recovery.

The Canucks forward has undergone successful lower-body surgery for an injury he sustained in the third period of a pre-season game against the Seattle Kraken on Wednesday, general manager Patrik Allvin announced on Monday.

The 24-year-old is expected to miss eight to 10 weeks while he recovers.

Hoglander is heading into his sixth NHL season and was looking to bounce back after a disappointing 2024-25 campaign, where he had just eight goals and 25 points in 72 games.

He had his most productive season in 2023-24, where he scored 24 goals and had 12 assists in 80 games.

The Bockträsk, Sweden native was selected 40th overall by the Canucks at the 2019 NHL Draft.
