It’s no secret that Auburn has struggled in hostile SEC environments. Penalties and lack of third-down success haunted the Tigers in a 16-10 loss to Texas A&M.

On Monday, Nick Saban, who spoke to reporters during a Monday Morning Quarterback event in Birmingham, was asked he might go about simplifying things for the Tigers.

“I don’t know if you can simplify it,” Saban told reporters. “Noise is noise. It is what it is, so you can go on silent, which means everyone’s got to see the ball. A guard hand taps the center. Now, he can snap the ball.

“So, that puts offensive line at a disadvantage because you’re not looking at who you are going to block. You have to see the ball out of the corner of your eye.”

The other option, he said, is to go on the clap.
