Senior BJP veteran Vijay Kumar Malhotra passed away Tuesday morning at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi, according to a statement from the Delhi BJP unit. Malhotra, aged 94, was the first president of the BJP’s Delhi unit. The tragic news came a day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the newly-built BJP office at Deen Dayal Upadhyay (DDU) Marg.

“Shri Vijay Kumar Malhotra Ji, a senior BJP leader aged 93 years, was admitted to AIIMS New Delhi, where he passed away in the morning of 30th September 2025,” AIIMS Delhi said in an official release.
