ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Residents near Atlanta’s West End Mall are asking how redevelopment plans will impact their every day lives, including access to bus and train services.

People living in the area said they want the city to move faster when it comes to planning for more people to use public transportation, along with safer streets for people that walk or bike.

The project is incorporating the voices of residents, city leaders and transportation safety advocates.

“I’m just really excited to see where Atlanta’s going,” said Brooks Payne, who lives in West End.

The redevelopment project is called One West End, which focuses on the area of the Old West End Mall. The vision is a mixed use development that will incorporate commercial and residential spaces.
