NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – New Mexico State University is offering a look inside its observatory in the Sacramento Mountains. The Apache Point Observatory, which is located around 17 miles south of Cloudcroft, will host an open house on October 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Visitors will get a tour of the facility, talks with astronomers, and see interactive demonstrations. You must be at least 10 years old and able to walk up three flights of stairs. To sign up, call 575-437 or send an email to office_admin@apo.nmsu.edu.
