FRANKFORT, Ky. (FOX 56) — Kentucky has secured over $17 million in previously pledged federal funds to build electric vehicle charging stations across the Commonwealth.
The state will have 46 fast-charging stations.
Five are already open, and three additional stations are under construction.
The five active stations are in Berea, Grayson, Hazard, Richmond, and Sparta.
All stations are expected to open next year.
Gov. Andy Beshear said this investment will help establish the EV network's status as a "global automotive leader."
