SALT LAKE CITY — The funeral for President Russell M. Nelson of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be held at the Conference Center in Salt Lake City on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 12 p.m. MDT.

The public can pay their respects the day before on Monday, Oct. 6 from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m.

A special television broadcast, ‘A Tribute to Russell M. Nelson,’ will be broadcast on Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 10 a.m. MDT.

The church also said this weekend’s two-day general conference will take place as scheduled.

President Nelson died peacefully in his home shortly after 10 p.m. on Saturday. He had led the church as president for nearly eight years.
