Freya Leach first appeared on Sky as a fresh-faced 19-year-old, who had unexpectedly made headlines after complaining to Sydney University about an exam question.

The November 2022 take-home exam, featured a question about a fictional Mercedes driving, right-wing, HIV-positive character named “Freya”, who ran over a left-wing victim.

Leach wrote to the head of USYD’s Law School, having “identified” this particular Freya as herself, which “characterises me as a right-wing person who kills a left-wing person”.
