HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — One teen is dead and another has life-threatening injuries after a double shooting on Sacramento Drive in Hampton Monday night, police said.

Police said the shooting happened in the 1st block of Sacramento Drive, off of North Armistead Avenue, around 7:35 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found a 19-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy who were both suffering from life-threatening injuries, according to police, who said the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The teen boy was taken to a local hospital, where police said he was in stable condition.

Hampton Police's Major Crimes Unit is investigating the shooting, and police said they would release more details as they become available.
