PROVO, Utah (ABC4 Sports) - BYU hadn't trailed for a single second in its first three games of the season. But Colorado came out and punched the Cougars in the mouth on Saturday, racing out to a 14-0 lead.
"We had a lot of missed assignments, and that's not that's uncharacteristic of our defense," head coach Kalani Sitake said Monday. "But you have to give credit to Colorado. They were ready and they did some unique things."
But the Cougars defense allowed just one touchdown after that, and finally got it going on offense with Bear Bachmeier throwing two touchdown passes to Chase Roberts, before Cody Hagen exploded on the tornado reverse for a 32-yard game-winning touchdown run as the Cougars pulled off the comeback, 24-21.
