US President Donald Trump on Monday secured Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s backing for a US-sponsored proposal to end the war in Gaza , though uncertainty looms over whether Hamas will agree.

Speaking alongside Netanyahu at the White House, Trump said they were beyond very close to an elusive deal but warned that Israel would have “full US support” to act if Hamas rejected the plan.

The White House released a 20-point framework that calls for an immediate ceasefire , the release of hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners, a phased Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, Hamas disarmament, and the creation of a transitional government under an international body.
