Srinagar | : To commemorate World Environment Day 2025, the Department of Tourism, Hospitality & Leisure Studies (DTHLS) at the University of Kashmir, in partnership with the Pahalgam Development Authority and the Pahalgam Trade & Civil Society Alliance on Monday hosted a daylong event focused on sustainable tourism and environmental stewardship in Pahalgam.

Speaking on the occassion Muhammed Saleem Beg, the Chief Guest and former Director General of Tourism J&K, underscored the critical need for environmentally sensitive development, systematic planning, and collaboration among multiple stakeholders.
