A candidates forum was held at New Bethel Baptist Church in Youngstown covering several races, including the mayoral race.
Dozens were in attendance to hear from Democratic incumbent Tito Brown and Independent challenger, Derrick McDowell.
Mayor Brown began by reminding the audience how much things have changed since he took office 8 years ago.
"When I took over this office eight years ago, we were facing physical emergency, crime was up, investment was down and nobody wanted to invest in the city of Youngstown," Brown said.
