Suspicion: Chagrin River Road

A man was found sleeping in the post office lobby at 6:45 a.m. Sept. 21 when a customer entered the lobby to retrieve mail from a PO box.

The man told officers that he was homeless and had been walking from Geauga County. He found the lobby open overnight and decided to get some sleep.

He was given a courtesy ride into Mayfield Heights at his request.

Property damage: County Line Road

A bus from the Willoughby-Eastlake School District backed into a stop sign when turning around at Gates Mills Estates Drive Sept. 24.

Theft: Old Mill Road

A contractor reported Sept. 25 that an extension ladder had been stolen from a construction site where he had been working.
