Five turnovers by the Briar Cliff University defense paved the way for a BCU victory over the Dakota Wesleyan Tigers at Memorial Field by way of 21-7 final for the Chargers’ homecoming.
BCU went up 2-0 on a Max Rascon Jr. tackle for loss that went for a safety. When the Chargers got the ball, the ensuing drive ended with a Jacob Meyers’ 30-yard field goal attempt to go up 5-0.
On the following kickoff, the Chargers forced a fumble and took over with the ball on the DW 20-yard line to set up a Brock Saya-to-Jayden Westbrook 21-yard touchdown pass to put BCU up 11-0 after the point after attempt was blocked.
