US air tankers have crossed the Atlantic towards the UK after Donald Trump met with his military command.
Around a dozen KC-135R/T Stratotankers were spotted on Flight Radar making the journey on Sunday night, with some heading to RAF Mildenhall.
It has been theorised the jets are stopping in the UK to refuel for an urgent military requirement.
The last time the US moved so many tankers was five days before the Air Force struck Iran’s nuclear facilities.
It may also be linked to Exercise Cobra Warrior 25-2, which is a large-scale Nato training event running from September 12 to October 2 over the North Sea. John Sitilies, a former State Department diplomacy expert, said the US could also be responding to Russian drones over the Blatic Sea.
