The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, has invited applications for its annual Sports Awards, recognizing and rewarding excellence in sports.

The Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award honors sportspersons for the most spectacular and outstanding performances, while the Arjuna Award celebrates consistent excellence in sports. The Arjuna Award (Lifetime) recognizes lifetime contributions to sports development, and the Dronacharya Award is presented to coaches who have trained medal winners at prestigious international competitions.
