In the Nov. 4 election, voters in Monroe County have seven contested races. The Monroe News sent questionnaires to the candidates in each one.

In Milan, five candidates are vying for three city council seats: Maris Gress, Connie Harrison, Jesse Nie, Christian Thompson and Shannon Dare Wayne. The seats of Thompson, Dare Wayne and Josh Kofflin expire on Dec. 31. Thompson did not submit responses.

In-person voting will take place from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4. Absentee ballots may be requested from local clerks.
