A public vigil honoring the life and legacy of conservative activist Charlie Kirk will be held in downtown Erie on Oct. 4.

Kirk, 31, was the founder of Turning Point USA , a national organization aimed at mobilizing young conservatives. He was shot and killed during an outdoor event on a Utah college campus on Sept. 10.
