Week 6 of the Alabama high school football season in the Montgomery area offered some exciting action as most teams took a break from regional play, opting to use the week to face some of the tougher talent in the state.

Montgomery Academy fell to one of Class 2A's best, losing its first game of the season, while Pike Road come close yet again to knocking off one the tougher teams in 7A.
