Raipur police on Sunday recovered the body of Mohammad Saddam, a young man found dead in Avon Lodge, located in the Ganj police station area. The shocking killing was allegedly carried out by his 16-year-old girlfriend, who confessed to the crime after returning to Bilaspur and narrating the incident to her mother.

What led to the gruesome murder?

According to police as quoted by NDTV, the accused, a minor from Koni police station area in Bilaspur, travelled to Raipur on September 28 to meet Saddam, who was originally from Bihar and working as an MS Engineering officer in Abhanpur. The couple had been staying at the lodge since Saturday.
