Something new this year on my health care provider’s consent form for the COVID-19 vaccine was a long list of ailments. It included lots of diseases, but also some general conditions that are bad for anyone, such as being fat or being old.
And it came with a warning. Any of these bad things, the warning said, may get worse after you take the COVID vaccine.
Something else that may happen after you take the vaccine is getting hit by an asteroid. But “after you take the vaccine” doesn’t mean “because you take the vaccine.” The confusion is scary, but it is just confusion. And the man generating the confusion is Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a professional anti-vaxxer.
You don’t have to be confused. You don’t have to be scared. Get the shot.
