Years of planning and construction are complete and 124 Court Condominiums is open in Bay St. Louis, close to the beach, shops, restaurants and Amtrak.

The grand opening Thursday night gave the community a first walk-through of the five-story residential and commercial building on Court Street in Old Town.

“As a community, we have watched with great interest to see how the developers have taken this historic site and transformed it into a reflection of community pride,” said Tish Williams, executive director of Hancock County Chamber of Commerce.

The site was a Bay Motors Ford dealership from 1947 until the 1960s, and then was the location of the Sea Coast Echo newspaper before the condos were built. The newspaper has since moved to a new office on Highway 90.
