Emmerdale's Chris Coghill took to his Instagram after his debut on the Yorkshire-based soap finally aired.

Actor Chris Coghill recently made his debut as Kev Townsend in Emmerdale , and has certainly given Robert Sugden some food for thought.

Ahead of him joining the Dales, Emmerdale Producer, Laura Shaw, said: "We are delighted that someone of Chris’ calibre has joined our cast. I think the viewers will be intrigued to see how the character of Kev will cause shockwaves this autumn."

The star is no stranger to appearing on the small screen, with roles including The Bay, Slow Horses and Shameless. He also had an explosive role in EastEnders as Tony King.
