EAST LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - The City of East Lansing is seeking community input on how to allocate a Community Development Block Grant.

The grant, intended to help assess affordable housing and other community needs, will support the development of a strategic plan in collaboration with a consultant.

As part of this effort, the City is inviting residents to share their ideas and priorities to help develop a five-year plan for the use of the funding.

A public meeting will be held on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Hannah Community Center, allowing community members to share their thoughts.

The grant funding will take effect from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2031.
