OIL CITY, Pa. - Lane shifts on Interstate 80 eastbound in Mercer County begin today as part of a major reconstruction project.
The changes affect the stretch of I-80 from the Shenango River Bridge to the Route 318 Bridge, including the area around the Interstate 376 interchange. The lane shifts were originally scheduled to begin Friday, Sept. 26.
Westbound traffic will remain shifted, and one lane of eastbound traffic will move adjacent to the westbound lanes, as currently deployed. Eastbound drivers should use this lane.
The second eastbound lane will move from the inside lane to the outside lane and shoulder next to the work zone. Drivers planning to exit onto I-376 must use this lane.
