The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a Yellow Warning for seven districts in Southern Odisha, forecasting heavy rainfall due to a developing low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal.

The system is expected to intensify into a depression by October 2, and cross the South Odisha–Andhra Pradesh coast by October 3.

A cyclonic circulation has already formed today, setting the stage for widespread showers that may impact Durga Puja festivities across the region.
