A South Australian couple accused of breaking their newborn’s leg have been slapped with strict bail conditions — including having to move seats if they are next to children on public transport.

The pair, from Adelaide ’s southern suburbs, fronted Christies Beach Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

Both are charged with two counts of aggravated causing harm with intent and one count of criminal neglect.

Their identities remain suppressed.

The court heard the Department for Child Protection had been involved with the family since early this year, and both children — including the alleged victim, now six-months-old — have since been placed elsewhere.
