PRINCEVILLE, Hawaii (Island News) -- The multi-agency search for a missing man in the waters off of Kauai has been suspended on Saturday.

Kauai police launched a search for Kyle Barrett, 47, who was last seen near the entrance to the Queen’s Bath trailhead. The Princeville resident was last seen at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2025.

Barrett is described as 6-feet 4-inches tall, weighs approximately 210 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white aloha shirt, dark-colored shorts and sunglasses.

Kauai Fire Department personnel notified watchstanders at the Coast Guard Sector Honolulu command center at 9:50 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 24, about a possible person in the water near Princeville.
