New Delhi: At the International Astronautical Congress (IAC) in Sydney, Australia, Agnikul Cosmos revealed its pioneering integrated launch solutions with a newly patented system that combines a launch vehicle or rocket with a satellite. The pioneering Chennai-based New Space startup is committed to full rocket reusability, with the lower stage booster landing on an ocean barge, while the upper stage is itself converted into a satellite. The innovative approach enables democratic, on-demand access to space, and reduces space debris as well. The upper stages of rockets are typically discarded after deploying the payloads. A reusable booster brings down the cost of flying through the lower layers of the atmosphere, the most expensive portion of spaceflight.
