With Rochester Gas & Electric set to increase customer’s bills, residents will have an opportunity to weigh in during public hearings on Sept. 30.

A pair of public hearings will be held at Rochester City Hall at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m., allowing residents and ratepayers the chance to comment on the proposed utility bill increases.

How much are proposed RG&E rate increases?

All told, the proposed increase in monthly delivery bills for RG&E customers on 600 kilowatt hours of electricity and 83 therms of gas would be $33.01 and $18.87, respectively.
