The Detroit Lions (3-1) enter their Week 5 matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals (2-2) on a three-game win streak while the Bengals are struggling to put together any offense with quarterback Joe Burrow sidelined due to injury.
With the Lions humming and Cincinnati stumbling, Detroit is opening Sunday’s matchup (4.25 p.m., FOX) at Paycor Stadium as 9.5-point favorites, according to FanDuel odds on Tuesday.
Closing out at that 9.5-point mark would be the heaviest road favorite the Lions have been since 2014, when they were 10-point road favorites against the Chicago Bears in a Week 16 game Detroit went on to win, 20-14.
For as strong as the Lions have become under coach Dan Campbell, Las Vegas sportsbooks haven’t been as high on them before on the road.
