Alabama is one of 11 states that does not have legalized real-money sports betting, a fact that Donald Trump Jr. thinks should be changed.

On Saturday, Trump responded to a post on X criticizing the fact that football fans watching the Georgia v. Alabama college football game had to bet on the game using illegal bookies.

Trump said he, “totally agrees on changing” the ban on legal sports betting in Alabama and Georgia, which also has not legalized sports betting yet.

Alabama recently came close in 2024 to passing a gaming bill that would have legalized sports betting in the state but that effort failed in the Senate after not receiving enough final votes.
