“President Trump took the stage Tuesday in Quantico, Virginia, to address, as commander in chief, hundreds of generals and admirals who were ordered there by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth — an event to which Hegseth had not initially invited Trump. The president let his frustrations be known in his own way,” the Washington Post reports.
Said Trump: “I thought, great speech. I don’t want him to get so good, I hate that, you know?”
He added: “I hate it. I almost fired him. I said, ‘You can’t, I don’t want to go on after that.’”
